Welcome to People Serving People.
Many of you are serving us as we try to serve others who are less fortunate than we have been. The Government of Canada lists statistics about problems that exist with our brothers and sisters who are the First Nations of our great land of Canada. We feel these problems – suicide, diabetes, educational deficiencies, high unemployment, drug and alcohol abuse – to name a few – can be lessened with neighbourly concern and willing assistance.
We are deeply concerned about the living conditions of the First Nations people in northern Ontario. We acknowledge and take responsibility for the decisions made by our society that have resulted in the problems of the remote First Nations Communities. Our goal is to provide support and assistance to the people in these communities, and to help them work toward healing.
Hello, we’re the Reynolds. Thanks for coming here to learn more about us.
In 2004 we decided to leave a comfortable suburban life and try to make a positive difference in the lives of people who have not had all the advantages we’ve had. It had become difficult for us to continue just hearing about communities with high rates of suicide, unemployment, crime, substance abuse and other problems, without actually trying to help.
So we sold our house, and moved with our two teenage boys near a First Nation community in the far north of Ontario, 1,380 kilometers and a 14-hour drive from our family and friends.
You’re more than welcome to come and share a meal and a bed; just don’t leave your stuff behind because we’ll give away to someone who needs it!
We need the encouragement, financial support and prayers of people like you. Please, spend a few more minutes and perhaps you’ll decide to join us in spirit or even come up here for a while. We love to make new friends.Fundraiser
